Does anybody know of any occasions where / when a buddy or instructor has actually been prosecuted for a diving incident.
Bit of a controversial one but the question comes more from the buddy angle where a qualified / experience buddy takes someone not so beyond there qualifications and an incident occurs.
Hey I know this happens all the time (without the incidents) as part of the natural development and progression of a diver and I am doubtful there could be a successful prosecution due to there being no actual law pertaining to what a diver can and can not do, there only being general accepted standards. However I am pretty sure that the H&S executive would be more than eager to put this in place as a test case. |
